This is one of the most caring, knowledgeable, and dedicated vet clinics in the area. These competent professionals care for all my animals from my cats to my horse and I have had nothing but excellence and compassion in my 10 years with this practice. They treat your fur children like human children. I can't say enough about them.

Great staff and Dr Fassett is very knowledgeable and compassionate. He saved our cat after a dryer sheet caused a bowel obstruction and necrotic bowel.

Excellent it is the best place to tack your Animals I had my pup there and they tuck the best care of him he is a 100% better now I can not thank them enough for what they did . I just want to say thank-you to all the staff there for all they did for my and my kids pup

Great service+ caring personal

My husband and I and our two dogs, along with my 86 year old mother and her dog, recently moved to Cooperstown. On Friday, July 21st, while I was sitting in Basset ER with my mother who was experiencing heart-related issues, her dog, distraught and searching for her, got away from my husband and was hit by a car. The gentleman who hit Cooper immediately stopped, as did an off-duty State Trooper who was behind the car that hit my Mom's dog. We live less than 5 minutes from Cooperstown Veterinary Clinic and both the gentleman and the State Trooper accompanied my husband to the clinic. My husband walked into the clinic with Cooper wrapped in a towel, who was bleeding, and explained that Cooper had been hit by a car and pleaded for help. The staff member behind the counter literally threw her hands in the air and said "we can't do anything!" Evidently, there was not a vet on the premises, although their hours of operation state they are open from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm and it was 4:00 pm. There was no compassion or assistance offered. There was another staff member present and she repeated the message that nothing could be done to help this dog, however, she was kind enough to call Heritage Veterinary to see if they could help. Heritage told her that the doctor was "just leaving" - obviously not concerned enough or willing to remain a few minutes to help an injured animal....their website states "24/7 EMERGENCY CARE!!!" It's a falsehood! Ignoring an injured animal struck by a vehicle, having untrained attendants and no qualified licensed professional on site is professional misconduct in my opinion. If you are looking for a compassionate, caring, well-staffed facility to care for your pets, stay away from Cooperstown Veterinary Clinic and Heritage Veterinary Clinic!!!
